Mary Webb is a painter, and printmaker, whose work is concerned with colour, and the emotional, and spatial sensations it can evoke, frequently linked to the memory of place.
She works in series, using flat colour within a geometric, minimilist, square format.
A solo show in 2007, a joint show in 2014, and a solo show, ‘How things start‘ in 2015, as part of a group show in 2017, and in an on-line exhibition in 2020/21.
Her work was included in the Contemporary Masters from the East of England exhibition held at The Cut in 2017.
Work for that exhibition was drawn from the Priseman-Seabrook Collection of 21st Century British Painting.
Mary Webb’s work was also included in COLOUR, an online only exhibition curated during the pandemic lockdowns in 2020/21.
