Johann Don Daniel

About The Artist

Johann Don Daniel's Website

I am an artist that works within combinations of allegories, real time metaphors and illusionary experiences based on a multitude of states.

The works of Kafka (Metamorphosis), Grant Morrsion and Alejandro Jodorowsky play roles of influence in some areas. (2022)

Current
I am a predominantly a sound / 4D artist interested in sonic sculpture/materiality, manipulating sound distorting technologies, drums/beat narrative and performance.

My current focus is through ethnographic research into the exploration of traditional skills/languages that have been affected by colonial legacies. I am using it to develop a dialogue reflecting decolonialisation and neo-colonialism. The outcomes of these include the use of various experimental technologies and sound distortion, combined with sculpture and a beat driven narrative. (2025)
