About The Artist
Jack Crampton exhibited at The Cut in 2013, and in 2020.
The 2013 exhibition was an installation of 300 A4 mixed media works.
In 2020 Jack Crampton and Tony Casement created paintings and mixed media artefacts to accompany the Comb Filter live on-line performance of music as part of The Cut’s response to Covid shutdowns.
In his own words
Jack accepted all the different religions at Chelsea, mostly of the Systems Group until re-emerging into 1974.
Since then its been a gradual rejection of statements in favour of just looking.
Things, wall-based, come into being and hint at their lineages, suggesting alignments, chance encounters and random constraints.
Carefully careless.
Precisely imprecise.
Prudently slapdash.
