John Plowman's work was shown in Decoy Ahoy May/June 2025, a joint exhibition with Bob Billington.

My practice encompasses studio and curatorial activity and have exhibited in and curated exhibitions in this country and abroad.

Recent solo and group exhibitions include 2024 ‘Antimonumental’ Thameside Studio Gallery, London, ‘Salon des Etrangers’ Siger Gallery and Venice Art Factory, Venice, 2023 ‘John Plowman:Sculptor’ Black Barn Contemporary, Cockley Cley, UK, 2018 ‘Collab Project’ BoXo Projects, Joshua Tree, California, USA, 2015 ‘Drawing After The (F)act’, Salzamt Project Space, Linz, Austria 2015.

From 2004–16 Beacon Art Project, my curatorial project, worked regionally, nationally and internationally curating and commissioning artworks from over 70 artists providing opportunities for people to experience contemporary visual art in non-gallery spaces, usually heritage sites.

I currently co-run The Grange Projects in Norfolk that hosts residencies for artists and creatives.
