Linda Farrow – III Beds

Date: March 2019
Exhibition/Show Type: Solo
Media: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Video, Other

Exhibition Description

Linda Farrow exhibited work at The Cut in March/April 2019.

The centre of my show at The Cut in 2019 was my film showed on 3 blood donor beds painted with cracked earth and the film was layered on top.

This followed through on some of my works using a photo fresco technique.

The subject was about leaving our family farm and losing my Dad at the age of 4yrs, using old black and white photographs.

Other works included family discovered in Australia through DNA who became an early human rights activist who attempted to help the indigenous people.

The horses with hoods shown in the cafe were a response to a personal horse trauma and styled with Susan Rothenburg in mind.

The Show filled both the 2nd floor and the cafe and 45 works in total. Such a wonderful space to show.
